Paying to shovel that snow was worth it

As I posted below, our Advisory Council spent some time asking whether it was worth paying $800 to the school district to shovel snow for our Christmas Sunday. We decided that since both Andy and I would be explaining what it means to give your life to Jesus, it was worth the money. I used the “bridge illustration” to explain what it means to turn from sin and take steps toward Jesus. Well, on Christmas afternoon, I received a text message from a friend of Erin’s whom she’s been talking with a lot and was at TFC for the second time on Sunday. Her message had this line at the end, “[thank you] for showing me my way to the greatest gift of all, Jesus. I took that step… no fear!”Yep, it was worth paying to have the snow removed on such an important Sunday. And your generosity allows us to pay bills like rent and snow removal.
